Getting Involved

Would you like to share your views about your home and environment?

Resident engagement is about you and your neighbours having a say about where you live. No one knows a community better than the people that live there.

Involving you is key to what we do in Orbit East; it decides what we do and how we do it. You use our services and live in the homes and neighbourhoods we manage so you are best placed to tell us what works and what doesn’t to help us continually improve.

We want to ensure that everyone can be involved and play a part in helping us to make decisions. We recognise that everyone has different lifestyles and commitments therefore we have put together a range of options to make it easy to hear what you have to say.

Our Commitment

We have a commitment to involving you in what we do. We believe that we will provide you with a better and more efficient service by listening to what you say and consulting with you when making decisions. We need to know when things are going wrong or not meeting your expectations so we can make the improvements you want.

With residents, we have agreed four key aims:
  • To provide you with a range of different ways to be involved so you can participate how you want to
  • To engage residents in continuously improving our services and performance
  • To tell you about the difference you have made
  • To understand what your expectations are and work with you to exceed these
Why should I get involved?
  • To have the opportunity to influence decisions
  • To help us provide a better service
  • To help make decisions that affect your neighbourhood
  • To learn new skills and meet different people
  • To create a better sense of community where you live
  • To be invited to attend free training courses, information sessions and conferences
  • To have the chance to obtain funding to improve where you live
  • To talk to staff about what’s important where you live
  • To make a difference and see the results of your involvement in services or your neighbourhood!
